Upcomming Hike

Hopefully everyone knows about the hike this weekend. The original permission slip we handed out said we were meeting on the 8th, this is incorrect. We will be leaving this Friday, Sept 11th at 5pm. Please be there around 4:45. We will be passing out snacks, food, and water. We will also be dividing up tents among the boys. Each boy is responsible for bringing the 10 essentials and anything he may need on the hike. Please help your boys pack light. We will only be going about a mile, but that can be very difficult for the boys if they have heavy packs. If you did not receive a permission slip you can print one off here. Boys that have not turned in a permission slip will not be able to go on the hike. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

Campout This Week

We will be going up to Provo Canyon this week to pass off several requirements for tenderfoot, second class, and first class. We will be having a first aid training and merit badge counselors visiting to help us begin getting merit badges. We need a final head count this week of who will be attending. We are going up on Thursday all day . We will return home that night and return Friday. We will stay there overnight Friday night and will be returning Saturday afternoon. Please view the tentative agenda for a full schedule of events.

Note: Fathers are invited to spend the night with their boys on Thursday night if they like. We are, as an 11 yr old scout troop, limited in how many overnighters we can have each year.

Fliers for the August 2009 Campout

Today we handed out several fliers to the boys to give to their parents regarding YMYW.org and the upcoming campout in August.

If you did not receive the YMYW.org flier the information is in the post below. It also has an online form you can fill out with your personal information. A YMYW.org account will be created and you will receive an email with a username/password.

As for the campout fliers we handed out the following two fliers:
